What it is
This community is a place for English learners to practice the language through conversation with other learners and the teacher, Dani. There are several channels (different sections) to talk about various topics through text and voice. The server is aimed at Brazilians who can already communicate in English, from an independent level to a proficient one.The teacher promotes events such as game nights and group calls (there is at least one scheduled event a month, but there are usually more spontaneous moments that are not planned in advance where users can talk in the voice channel to each other and the teacher).Users can also ask questions related to English and they will be answered by the teacher and other users.The English Lounge is a safe space where respect is the number one rule 💜
How it works
The platform chosen to host the community, Discord, has several functionalities for users to interact. They can text, have voice and video calls, and share files, media and links.Discord can be used on your web browser (such as Google Chrome) or as a phone or desktop app. You can easily register if you don't have an account yet. Once you complete your purchase and sign up for the English Lounge, you will be redirected to a Discord page to join the server (and you can sign up for Discord from there).Being a part of the server costs only R$9,90 a month, no extra fees or restrictions. The payment is done via PagSeguro, a trustworthy service, and it charges you monthly, with the possibility of canceling it whenever you want.See you there! ✨
Who is the teacher?
Hi! In case you don't know me, I'm Dani. I've been teaching other Brazilians English for 12 years. I have a degree in Portuguese and English (Letras) and a Certificate in Proficient English (C2) by Cambridge.Among my students, I'm known for being very patient and always cheerful. My goal is not only to teach English, but to help students develop confidence and autonomy.
